The problem with fantasy worlds is that they don't create themselves; somebody's got to make them, and occasionally that someone is just not up to the minimum standards that the fantasy requires.

Eri's track record with extremely powerful psychics is less than stellar at this point.

Becoming a "god" or higher level being with more abilities could attract the attention of even higher beings with far more abilities and less patience for teaching newbies.
